Born and raised in New York, NY, Mark Mancino has music embedded in his veins. As a connoisseur of all thing’s music and entertainment, Mark has been working within the entertainment business and music industry for nearly two decades. Mark received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology & Human Development with a minor in Entertainment Business, graduating with Honor’s and Dean’s List recognition. Mark subsequently advanced to a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Global Leadership and a minor in Music Business. He also earned advanced MBA certifications in Global Brand Marketing and Project Management. Remembering a time when he would wait outside of record stores on Tuesdays for new music releases (before we entered the digital age of streaming and it was later switched to Friday), it’s no wonder Mark’s Master’s degree Capstone Thesis was a 130+ page research paper on the music business and the future of distribution.

At the age of five, Mark recalls his very first concert, where he had the opportunity to experience Frank Sinatra live in one of his very last concerts. Infatuated with music and the arts for his entire life, Mark has been a music expert, lover, and aficionado for as long as he can remember. It was never a question – Mark was always destined to work within the music industry. Fast forward more than 30 years later, and he has utilized his diversely eclectic taste in music, coupled with a creative & technical knowledge, to work in various sectors of the music industry. This includes operating his own businesses, The 450 Group (focusing on Artist Management, Artist Development & Branding, PR & Media Relations, Social Media Management, Consulting, Marketing, Radio placements, Bookings, Creative, Wed Design & Development & more), and The Nocturnal Times (a publication dedicated to all things music, events, reviews, interviews, DSP playlisting, and more).

As an artist manager, he closely developed and manages Billboard Top 100 charting (No. 21 peak position) producer/songwriter/DJ/artist HARBER, for the last seven years. HARBER has released originals and remixes on each of the major labels (Warner Music Group, Universal Music Group, and Sony Music Entertainment), and headline events for sold-out shows, including Electric Zoo Festival (main stage), Avant Gardner, Webster Hall, Brooklyn Mirage, Echostage, Marquee, Miami Music Week, Lavo, Nebula, Somewhere Nowhere, Schimanski, The Brooklyn Hangar, and many more. Over the course of HARBER’s career, Mark assisted in attaining sync placements & appearances on Bravo TV’s ‘Summer House’ & Amazon Prime’s original series ‘Upload’, as well as radio spins & guest mixes on over 40 iHeartMedia stations, Z100 New York, 103.5 KTU, SiriusXM, Evolution, SLAM!, Pitbull’s Globalization, The Chainsmokers Nice Hair, Los 40 Radio, Dash Radio & more.

Since getting his start with The 450 Group, Mark has served as a publicist for electronic/dance, pop, hip-hop, R&B, and rap artists, where he garnered original and exclusive placements on leading outlets, including Billboard, Forbes, Billboard Dance, Variety, People, Pitchfork, Us Weekly, The FADER, Ones To Watch, Pop Dust, Hollywood Life, Celeb Buzz, and over 250 additional publications.

As a music journalist since 2009, Mark has written over 3,000 career articles (concert, festival, event reviews), cover-story features, exclusive interviews, music releases (LPs, EPs, original singles, collaborations, remixes, live sets). Mark founded The Nocturnal Times in 2014, following two prior websites as well as freelance writing. Now, in addition to running The Nocturnal Times and its team, Mark has joined the team as the Web/Digital Editor & Social Media Manager at DJ LIFE MAG (formerly DJ Times) and DJX Show (formerly The DJ Expo), which were founded in 1988 as the first electronic music magazine and biggest DJ trade show in the USA.

Through his music journalism, Mark has conducted interviews & provided published features for GRAMMY Award-winning & nominated artists such as Paul van Dyk, Tiësto, Afrojack, Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, Black Coffee, Morgan Page, The Crystal Method, Steve Aoki, Kaskade, BT, Mat Zo, Disclosure, ODESZA, Flume, Rufus Du Sol, Duke Dumont, ZHU, Clean Bandit, Zedd, Madeon, Dave Audé, Marshmello, Galantis, CamelPhat, ILLENIUM, Dirty South, EDX, Deep Dish, Justice, Benny Bennassi, Wolfgang Gartner, Tommy Trash, Alesso, Audien, TOKiMONSTA, Kaytranada, Cedric Gervais, Sultan + Shepard, CID, Roger Sanchez, and many more. From awards shows, conferences & expos, album and film premieres, private industry events, leading festivals of up to 400,000 attendees, to concerts, Mark has provided published event reviews for the likes of Ariana Grande, Billy Joel, Post Malone, Swedish House Mafia, Machine Gun Kelly, The Weeknd, Netflix, Apple, Spotify, Billboard, and many more.

Founder, organizer, and talent buyer for one of the very first virtual fundraising events during the pandemic, Mark conceptualized World On Pause. The 3-day World On Pause Festival aired from May 2-4, 2020, including over 60 artists (DJs, musicians, vocalists, live performers). The virtual festival was non-profit and raised over $25,000 towards Covid-19 relief for The Recording Academy’s MusiCares and Feed The Children. The festival aired on YouTube, Facebook, and event partner Pioneer DJ’s Twitch, amassing over 4.5 million views across the 40+ hour showcase. The event was highlighted by several news outlets, including praise from Recording Academy, EDM Tunes, DJ Times, EDM Sauce, and more. Included on the World On Pause lineup were acclaimed and up-and-coming artists, including SOFI TUKKER, Joel Corry, Sam Feldt, Felix Jaehn, Lost Frequencies, Markus Schulz, ARTY, Andrew Rayel, Morgan Page, Frank Walker, Bassjackers, ilan Bluestone, Henri PFR, Kryder, Lucas & Steve, Danny Avila, Sander van Doorn, Slumberjack, Genix, Grum, Firebeatz, and many more.
